Human Resources Generalist
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the successful development and delivery of all aspects of the human resources function while maintaining strong relationships with company leaders, the broader Human Resources team and corporate colleagues. This role will provide functional HR generalist support to communities by managing and administering HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the most effective utilization of HR functions company wide.
Develops and sustains productive and trusting relationships with communities on site-by-site basis; advises and supports leaders in a variety of people-related topics / situations and acts as a strong HR resource / presence at the community level
Administers, improves and sustains excellence in all HR processes including but not limited to team member relations, team member communications, community leader interviews, assisting with community new-hire orientation as needed, and team member engagement, developing / providing effective and relevant training programs
Ensures company compliance with federal, state, and local laws in all employment practices
Analyzes, interprets, and implements HR policies, programs and procedures as appropriate
Provides direction for internal team member investigations, collection and review of witness statements, review of applicable written or electronic communications and all other relevant information, provides summary and follow up as appropriate
Monitors the electronic I-9 form administration and E-verify work authorization administration to ensure ongoing compliance
Supports annual compliance through completing or supporting the annual filings for EEO-1 and OSHA logs, as well as managing governmental docs vendor relationship and team communications
Supports performance management by being an active leader in the annual Common Review Process
Manages workers compensation documentation
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR, business, communication or related field
Certification in HR, i.e. SPHR, PHR, preferred
Experience in employee relations, required
Working knowledge of current employment law
Strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated experience as a partner to leaders and team members in an organization
Demonstrated situational leadership and effective interpersonal skills
High energy level for daily responsibilities and special projects as assigned
Strong technology skills : Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems
Ability to travel as needed, including out of state travel
