We're currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, with room to grow and contribute meaningfully to the company's financial operations. Typical schedule for this role is Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM; with pay between $30-35 per hour based on experience.
Essential Functions
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Creates and sends invoices in alignment with company practices.
- Maintains and updates customer records, including changes in names, addresses, mergers, or mailing contacts.
- Drafts standard correspondence related to past-due accounts and collection activity.
- Identifies delinquent accounts and follows up with customers to request payment professionally and efficiently.
- Manages high-volume, 7-figure receivables with precision and accountability.
- Resolves customer inquiries and payment issues with a professional, service-oriented approach.
- Prepares reports on the current status of customer accounts and receivables as requested.
- Researches customer discrepancies and past-due balances in collaboration with the CFO and other staff.
- Reconciles accounts receivable at least twice monthly, in partnership with the CFO and accounting team.
- Assists with generating monthly billing statements from the general ledger.
- Supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
- Organizes, copies, files, and retrieves AR-related documentation as needed.
- Communicates customer account changes to relevant internal departments to ensure accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Intellidealer (CDK / VitalEdge) strongly preferred.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Position Benefits
