Data Engineer- Remote

Job Description

An employer is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team in remotely. This person will join the newly created "brainchild" of two well established private equity firms this new company will be focused on the annuities space of life insurance and is an AI Technology driven company. He / she will report to the Head of Data Engineering and will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure for the company's analytics, AI, and operational workflows. This person will be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable ETL / ELT workflows from internal systems such as their CRM, eApp, policy administration app, and commission tracking application and will be scheduling and automating batch and streaming processes. They will design and maintain the Snowflake data warehouse and implement data ingestion to power dashboards and alerts. The Data Engineer will define and enforce data validation rules, build observability pipelines and help translate business needs into data requirements.

Compensation for this role is 180-195kk per year annually plus bonus. Compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role may include generous paid time off, medical and dental insurance offerings, and 401k.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience
• Proficiency with workflow tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or dbt)
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
• Experience implementing data pipeline streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis
• Insurance experience -Annuities experience
