We seek talented engineers with backgrounds in Electrical and Computer Engineering for roles such as Vehicle Systems Engineering, Electrical Design and Release, High Voltage Wire Harness Design and Packaging, Embedded Software Development, Algorithm Research, AUTOSAR Model-Based System Design, Validation, Hardware-in-the-Loop Integration, Functional Safety, Vehicle Triage, SWAT, and Launch Support.
What you'll be doing :
The Senior Lead Validation Engineer will lead electrical feature validation and verification for specific vehicle programs. You should be capable of working with suppliers, engineering support teams (systems, wiring, design release), Program Management, and Manufacturing to validate and resolve electrical issues supporting vehicle launches. Responsibilities include :
- Manage and create test plans for electrical features across the vehicle : cluster, radio, body control module, telematics, and powertrain.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans (DVP& R) at the vehicle level.
- Report defects based on test plan failures.
- Manage issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Provide feedback on System Requirements to ensure they are testable.
- Manage team budgets and tasks.
Candidate shall have :
BS in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.6+ Years of experience in automotive roles.Experience in electrical systems design, development, or test engineering.Experience validating complex systems and managing resources and budgets.Experience developing / scheduling DVP& R, aligning resources, and creating electrical test procedures.Effective communication and presentation skills.Ability to multitask and coordinate testing across multiple validation engineers and programs.Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Proven problem-solving skills, project leadership, and team motivation.Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience communicating with executive management.Track record of process and performance improvements.Responsibilities :
Develop program budget and timeline.Generate and order the Bill of Material (BOM).Commission test properties such as Plywood Buck, HIL, Vehicles.Define and manage ECU tracking and DVP.Review specifications, change requests, and lessons learned.Manage issues and report status.Participate in program, design, and platform reviews.Maintain relationships with functional areas and manage deliverables.Manage series cards and bulletin impacts on budget and timing.Ensure vehicle timing and requirements are provided to the team.Plan test property types, quantities, and configurations.Coordinate build of test properties, ensuring on-time delivery.Assess manpower needs and track efforts.Determine vehicle needs for validation, obtain approvals, and request vehicles.Maintain ECU tracking charts and DVP.Share verification reports and publish validated software.Update test properties before validation loops.Collect vehicle information for validation.Manage test property reservations.Support vehicle EMC testing and EOL tester development.Review change requests and plan validation timing.Participate in program reviews and meetings, ensuring milestones are met.Escalate issues and coordinate technical resolutions.Manage documentation and lessons learned.Support design teams and escalate incomplete tasks.Assist with warranty, quality, and reliability meetings.Ensure timely completion of compliance reports.Lead product-related issue investigations.J-18808-Ljbffr
