Overview
The Qualification Testing (xHEV and ICE) team operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within the Vehicle & Propulsion Controls department. Our mission is to isolate software bugs in electrified and ICE powertrains, ensuring the delivery of robust, high-quality software to the development fleet. The Senior Controls Validation Engineer role is ideal for self-starters eager to develop a deep understanding of powertrain control subsystems and contribute to delivering world-class vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Design Verification Plans (DVPs) for propulsion system requirements testing
- Critically evaluate requirements, design DVPs, and conduct testing
- Determine the appropriate testing environment for each test case (e.g., HIL or vehicle)
- Perform issue pre-analysis to identify potential root causes and solutions
- Identify critical and edge-case maneuvers to expose potential failures
- Conduct testing on propulsion system architectures using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and vehicles

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree fieldA minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience, including a minimum of 2 years in automotive software development, validation, or related engineering workProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyEffective team player with strong interpersonal skills, comfortable in a multi-cultural matrix organizationProfessional communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)Interest in working on HIL and vehicle platforms, both on-site and remotely as neededPreferred Qualifications
