Controls Engineer Requirements & Qualifications :
Must Haves :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering fieldMinimum 4 years of experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley and Siemens)Strong experience with factory automation , servo systems , and robotic integrationExperience configuring and tuning VFDs, servos, and motion control componentsKnowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics systemsAbility to write, modify, and optimize PLC, HMI, and robotic code for new and existing equipmentExperience implementing and troubleshooting machine vision systemsWillingness to travel 10–30% for installations, commissioning, and supportMust successfully complete a background check and drug screenDay-to-Day Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and implement fully automated production systemsProgram and integrate industrial robots and vision systemsDevelop PLC code using Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens TIA PortalCommission, validate, and support automation projects on-siteUtilize AI tools for code development, data handling, and system optimizationCollaborate on the design and integration of multi-cell systems focused on motor winding applicationsManage multiple automation projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and quality standardsControls Engineer Preferred Background & Skills :
Experience with robotic systems such as Fanuc, ABB, or KUKAFamiliarity with PC-based control systems and industrial networks (Ethernet / IP, Profinet)Exposure to data acquisition , SCADA , or MES systemsStrong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skillsExperience supporting machine installations and validations in manufacturing environments
