Local company seeking an experienced tool and die maker with on-site customer service experience. Must be a team player with 5 years of experience with progressive stamping dies, preferable fin stamping dies (HVAC).
Job Responsibilities Include :
- Perform and assist with sharpening, diagnosis, repair, and changeover of stamping dies both in house and at customer locations.
- Inspect parts and tooling to determine if they are in accordance with prints / work orders.
- Work from blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools, dies, and jigs.
Requirements / skills :
Ability to read micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, blueprints, and drawings.Ability to safely operate a variety of tool room equipment (i.e. forklift, lathes, drill presses, mills, grinders, etc.)Ability to follow verbal / written instructions and practice good interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to define problems, troubleshoot, and draw valid conclusions.Education : Required :
High School Diploma or EquivalentCompletion of Tool and Die Apprenticeship TrainingPreferred :
Journeyman’s CardPost high school training / Associates DegreeSeven years of tool and die experienceThis is a full time, 1st shift, position with a flexible schedule. Some second shift may be required while at customer locations to work around manufacturing schedules. Travel required within the US, Canada, and Mexico.
