LHH Recruitment Solutions partnered up with an excellent organization in the Jericho, Long Island area to assist them hire a Payroll Coordinator.
This is a Long Term Temporary Role. (about 4 months)
Work Schedule
Hours : 9 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM or 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM
Hybrid Schedule - IN Office Monday through Wednesday. Remote Thursday and Friday.
Heavy Processing Days : Thursday, Friday, and the following Monday and Tuesday
Team & Scope
3-person payroll team
Supports approx. 700 salaried employees
Bi-weekly payroll runs
Key Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly payroll with precision and timeliness
Handle payroll-related reports including new hire reports, W-2s, and audits
Review and reconcile year-end close
Manage employee leaves from a payroll perspective
Ensure compliance with national and state-specific payroll laws, including OT regulations
Coordinate with ADP for direct deposits, wage verifications, garnishments, and unemployment claims
Respond to last-minute issues and urgent payroll matters
Support year-end bonuses and stock issuance in February
Qualifications
Experience with Workday payroll system (required)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Experience with payroll processing for large employee bases
Familiarity with multi-state payroll laws
CPP certification is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal downtime
$30-35 per hour (depending on experience).
