JOB MISSION :

The Global Supply Planner is responsible for optimizing the balance of customer service and loading for New Balance’s sourced footwear suppliers.

They will analyze, coordinate, and implement a loading plan that considers forecasted and actual customer demand, supplier fill rates, and manufacturing constraints.

They will represent planning in cross-functional activities to ensure aligned expectations regarding the footwear production schedule and shipments.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Own the 0-6 month loading strategy for several sourced footwear suppliers
  • Manage factory constraints in partnership with the overseas order management and production management teams
  • Utilize capacity and forecasting tools to effectively load factories, increase margin contribution, and achieve product launch objectives
  • Align with other planning functions (demand and inventory) to execute end-to-end strategies that efficiently bring NB footwear products to market
  • Build and implement production ramp plans for new style introductions
  • Represent supply planning at weekly Global Business Unit operations meetings
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and effectively coordinate with partners sales operations, customer service, development, and logistics
  • Provide feedback to department leadership on challenges related to achieving planning goals

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS :

  • 2-5 years of supply chain experience preferred
  • Solid communication, teamwork, and analytical skills
  • Software proficiency Excel, ERP / Supply Chain Planning, PLM, BI, and PO Management
  • Customer service mindset
  • Aptitude for problem solving, effective prioritization, and cost control
