Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students' needs and abilities.
- Modify curriculum and instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Provide direct instruction in core subjects, fostering academic and social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to setting measurable, achievable goals.
- Maintain open communication with families to ensure a collaborative approach to student success.
- Foster a supportive and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).Valid state teaching license or certification appropriate to the role.Endorsements or additional certifications as required by state-specific guidelines.Proven experience working with students who have diverse learning needs, preferably in a school setting.Strong classroom and behavioral management skills.Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.Highlights :
