Senior Manager, Brand Marketing
Job Description :
This role requires a dynamic leader who can think strategically, inspire creativity, and deliver measurable results. You will have one to two direct reports, as well as share the responsibility of co-managing a large XF team across product, category, engineering, retail, packaging, research, media, PR, social, events, finance, legal and more.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive, multi-year brand marketing strategy.
- Partner with Category and the Sr. Marketing Director to oversee the refinement of Carlyle’s premium tool line, ensuring alignment with target audience preferences and market trends.
- Manage small team of Brand Managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive performance and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of brand initiatives.
- Must simultaneously be a team leader and a do-er who can roll up their sleeves and help do the work.
- Partner with XF team to help build and execute media, social, PR & influencer plan.
- Assist with management of multiple agencies at a time.
- Able to work on wide array of workstreams such as : retail activation, premiums and merchandise, copy editing, tradeshow activations, community service activities etc.
- Drive innovation and creativity in all aspects of brand marketing, from product packaging to digital campaigns to website creation.
- Partner with engineering to build a comprehensive new website.
- Protect the Brand - build and socialize tight Brand Standards, ensure that brand integrity is maintained, and brand identity and brand love is established with both internal and external stakeholders, including target audience.
- Partner with legal to manage trademark expansion and registration.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of brand initiatives, and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results.
- Work closely with Sr. Director to ensure tight alignment on all initiatives, decisions, and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in brand marketing, with a proven track record of success in driving brand growth and awareness.
- Ideally a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration and / or a related field; Advanced education such as a MBA or master’s in marketing preferred.
- Previous experience in re-positioning brands or launching new products in competitive markets.
- Experience working with consumer brands, retail and / or the auto industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate lean teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for identifying market opportunities and consumer insights.
- Results oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business results.
- Must have experience building and managing media, influencer, social and / or PR plans and initiatives (with or without an AOR).
- Creative thinker with a passion for developing innovative marketing campaigns and brand experiences.
- Brand Protector someone who will ensure that all activations, even those managed by XF teams, are always on Brand and executed with excellence.
- Experience managing marketing budgets, reviewing, and executing agency SOWs, processing invoices etc.
